Employer Awards for Arts and Humanities students
The University of Sheffield is pleased to announce the establishment of two high profile Employer Awards in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
These competitive awards have been established by the Careers Service and are exclusively for Sheffield students.
Norton Rose Fulbright Employer Award for language students
Norton Rose Fulbright, a prestigious global law firm, has chosen to kindly offer an employer award to the School of Languages and Cultures. Awards will be made annually to students in the first or second year of undergraduate study who demonstrate the most creativity and potential in their award application.
The winner of the Norton Rose Fulbright Employer Award will receive a highly sought after summer placement in the firm’s London office, developing valuable employability skills and commercial experience in which they can use their language skills.
The Royal Bank of Scotland Group opted to work with the Department of History to run a unique Employer Award aimed at second-year undergraduate students. The winner of the award will be offered a placement with RBS, providing a valuable opportunity to develop professional experience and an understanding of the corporate environment.
The Employer Awards scheme is one of many projects which aims to create opportunities in industry which are exclusively for our students to gain work experience and employability skills. The Careers Service has a strong focus on creating links with employers and developing opportunities for students to benefit from these partnerships.
